The Gloria J. Taylor Foundation, Elementary School District 159 and LEAP will jointly partner with Colin Powell Middle School and Sieden Prairie and Marya Yates Elementary Schools in applying for the Illinois State Board of Education's Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Grant Program for the 2025-26 School Year.
Title IV, Part B of the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) authorizes the establishment of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program. The purpose of the program is to provide opportunities for communities to establish or expand activities in community learning centers that serve primarily students who attend eligible schools with a high concentration of students from low-income families.
